A Modernized Interactive Map for the Royal Gorge Museum and History Center

Our recent project for the City of Cañon City, Colorado’s Royal Gorge Museum and History Center is featured in the Spring 2024 issue of ArcNews. The land around Cañon City is a rich source of fossils and played an integral role in two rival paleontologists’ race to uncover the most dinosaur fossils.

The city-owned Royal Gorge Museum and History Center had an outdated interactive map of the Marsh-Felch fossil quarry that it wanted to modernize, enhancing visitors’ experience and understanding of the area’s fossil history. Argis Solutions and partner Platte River Analytics created a new, ADA-compliant interactive map with ArcGIS® Experience Builder in ArcGIS® Online.
