Esri User Conference Recap

This summer, Argis Solutions had the pleasure of speaking the Esri User Conference in San Diego! We were thrilled to make a lot of acquaintances and to present a little of what we do and who who are.

The highlights included:

1. An explanation of how Argis lets you see your GIS data; we talked about how Thornton, Colorado has an issue with how only some manholes are marked with GIS information, and how they are using our tech to map more of their assets in order to document where everything is and keep track of their maintenance schedules more efficiently.

2. A real- life example of how some field workers were waiting around for some information on whether a power line was underneath a site they were unsure about, when a man on a bike comes up and says hello and inquires about their business. They explain they don't want to hit a high voltage line or anything else that might be dangerous, and the man says he thinks he remembers a wall that used to be where they were, and that it had a concrete foundation. He goes on his way. Sure enough, that's what was under the ground there. Had these field workers had their GIS data at the ready, it would have saved a lot of time and worry for them. That's why we exist.

3. We are consistently improving the quality of the Argis Lens and we look forward to all of the feedback we receive from our customers. Along with constantly improving our tech, we are rolling out the Android version of the Lens sometime this quarter, we are structuring some educational pricing for classrooms, and we look forward to what the future holds for us!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this conference, and we hope you enjoyed learning about our company. We look forward to the next one, and if you want to give us a call to discuss how we can help you with your GIS and AR needs, please don't hesitate to reach out!
